Mage
Rune Mage has always been the representative of the high DPS game. The elegant Shadow Shift skill can easily dodge the melee damage, and the horrible Comet skill can instantly bring huge damage. Mystery talent can bring super control, but at the same time, need higher player’s manipulation skill.
There are two development routes in the game [Flame] and [Mystery], [Flame] that focus on DPS with 45% DMG Increase, and 10% fire mastery that can cause extremely high damage to the enemy; [Mystery] more suitable for control and PVP with 40% DMG Increase and 15% HP.
Archer
Elven Archer is deeply loved by the majority of players with high attack speed, great damage, suitable for both PVP and PVE. A well-played Elven Archer can put great pressure on the enemy so this career is suitable for all players.
There are two development routes in the game [Shooter] and [Reflex]. [Shooter] 50% Damage increase, which brings high DPS and Crit. [Reflex] 30% Damage increase, 30% Attack Speed, 10% HP with the agile position is very suitable for PVP and challenge BOSS.
Assassin
The most coolest character, usually be the first choice for male players. Shadow Assassin has strong DPS, agility and flee attributes, as well as difficult usage requirements for players and has Never Back Down talent （HP left at 1 point and don’t die for 5 secs）. In PVP, he becomes a monster to players with low HP.
There are two development routes in the game [Thorn] and [Shadow]. [Thorn] Burst DPS, has a 60% DMG increase. [Shadow] Strong defense ability, 45% DMG increase and 15% HP bonus, with speed reduction increases by 60, so this talent will make him very suitable for PVP.
Priest
The irreplaceable class, that be the first choice to form a team, is the brain of the team in all gameplay, especially in all dungeons and PVP. Having a strong control AOE but weak in single target. Holy Priest is suitable for all players, especially players who have the heart to support their friends.
There are two development routes in the game [Healing] and [Discipline]. [Discipline] increases the damage by 45% and the healing effect by 10%. The “inspiration” in the talent can increase the team members’ attack by 5%; [Healing] increases 30% HP and 30% healing effect. The “protection” in the talent can give players the ability to resurrect other players. It is the core skill of the Holy Priest that being the only one in the game have.
Dungeons

Pet System
Player will obtain a pet when he/she reached Lvl 15. Pet can improve player’s CP and can assist in battles.
Mount System
Players can get or tame a mount at Lvl 26. A mount can also serve as a transportation to travel faster in different locations.
Boss System
Once a player reached Lvl 90, the boss map will be unlocked. Each boss drops different gears but before entering the map, players can see what items can be obtained.

Combat power or CP is a measurement of your character’s strength. It is the accumulation of all your gears, level, enhancements, skill level and more.
Weapons and Gears
One way to increase your CP is by enhancing your gears but make sure to check the base AP (Attack Power) or DP (Defense Power) of it. Take note that in order to get the best base stats together with a substat (which will be discussed later on), you need the highest rarity item. In Black Desert Online, there are different rarity level when it comes to weapons and gears.

In these different rarity levels, you can also get different types of substats to contribute more on your character’s strength.

Relic
Another one that contributes to your CP is the Relic. You can rent these relics from the Relic Merchants located in different towns. When renting a relic, note that these are random and it varies between towns. Rarity levels are also available for relics so pick the best one.
Outfits and Costumes
Most of us know that when it comes to customizing our character’s outfit, you need to spend some money but in this game you can get it for FREE! Outfits can be crafted in your own camp at Dye Workshop but before you can build this building you need to finish the Ogre Campaign specific to Uraka.
Crystals
Put the crystals in the empty slots of your character’s weapon and gears.
Remember that there are 2 types of crystals, one of these adds to your CP while on the other handnit will increase your attacks and other bonus stats but but not your CP.
Black Spirit
Enhance your black spirit by feeding your extra equipments and accessories from drops and quests. The higher the rarity you feed to your black spirit the higher experience will be given. Condense Dark energy is also fed to the black spirit which will be get during the game or story line
Light Stones
Lightstones plays a part on increasing your CP just look for ATK or DEF stats. HP Stats and the like doesn’t add to your CP.
Character Level
The higher character level the higher stats also will be given.
Character Skills
Some of you already thinking those cool skills but these Active Skills who deals great damage doesn’t affect your CP instead Passive Skills are the contributor for increasing your CP. Increase these skills by getting passive skill books from the following:

Collect different books to obtain bonuses that will add up to your Combat Power.
Boss Knowledge

The goal here is to make all locations in your map get a 100% knowledge and from completion it will give you bonuses. Take note that the chance in getting a knowledge from killing a monster is low so better get ready to fight a large number before getting it.
Gear Resonance
When you enhance all your gears to a certain level you will get an additional stats and one example of this is the Attack attribute.
Combat Power (CP) Bonus Effects
When your character attains a certain number of CP, a bonus will be given for a certain stats.
